It is interesting to see just how much of a difference fitted wardrobes make in bedrooms. People often underestimate how fitted bedrooms save space, but when you really give it some thought it becomes quite apparent that if your furniture fits better into the space available you will be able to fit more furniture in the room. On the other hand you may be able to put less furniture into the room with a view to creating extra open space for comfort while still catering to your needs for storage.
Fitted wardrobes are absolutely central to this sort of arrangement. This is because wardrobes can generally be held to be the most important storage furniture in the bedroom. Although the bed obviously defines the room by its presence, it is the wardrobe that provides all the practical jobs.
Fitted wardrobes can be built into a space in order to make more of it – essentially so that they can cut out all the waste that is involved in using readymade furniture that does not fill the space properly and therefore leaves gaps that cannot be used even though they hold so much potential.
